That posted a little to quick. Anyway, I have two other sets, one in the bedroom and another outside. These two just have the digital converter boxes. At random times, no matter what channel I`m on, they switch to the TNT channel. I first noticed this on the outside set and figured it was a bad box due to the heat or whatever. Then this morning I turn on the bedroon set, put on the news, and with in 10 minutes, this one is on TNT! I don`t even watch TNT ! WTF ?? I would rather call a priest to take care of this before I call the cable company. Thoughts?

I just did a google search and there are several reasons from remotes interfering with each other to known glitches in certain boxes.

Yeah, but two seperate boxes? I even made sure the IR remote wasn`t pointed at the TV, thinking that was it. Still does it.

Cover the IR on the box and get your ass off the couch/bed to change the channel. See if that helps ?

Last I checked, IR doesn't shoot through walls.
The set outside is subject to a little sunlight, but not the set in the bedroom. It has happened while it's dark out.
We did have one heck of a storm last week. Lots of lightening. The cable went out area wide for a while.

Correct it does not...

IR is subject able to interference from lots of things.

What model boxes? Fluorescent lights nearby? Plasma, led, or LCD tvs?

I've had weird things happen with mine as well, although it was Direct satellite, not cable. I'd try to unplug and then plug it back in after a minute. If that doesn't help, change the batteries in the remote. That's what fixed my problems.
