Default FBI Agrees with Cracker- Go Glock!!!

The FBI was thought to be specing their RFPs toward Sig. Instead they called an audible and went with Glock. They can most likely buy close to 2 Glocks for the price of one Sig.

Lolololol.... Good choice, it may not be perfect for all but Glocks are some of the easiest to train recruits on and they are some of the most reliable handguns around...

Could be worse. They could've been considering a P95

I agree on the easy to clean. You can practically drag a Glock thru the mud compared to a Sig.

G35 is a .40 cal. Article says they are switching to 9mm. Sounds like they will get the G19

Always nice to know that the weapon you are issued is being supplied by the lowest bidder

I was just mentioning my favorite. Why would they opt for the 19 over the 17?

Welcome to gov't work, low bid is a fact of life. Just because they are lower cost doesn't mean it is not the best item for the job but I understand hating too. . I have been around a lot of different cops shooting and training for over 20 years. I am convinced listening to various LE trainers that Glocks are much easier to master for the varied masses of recruits than other brands of pistols based on their simpicity alone... Just my opinion.. It is also amazing how other brands are trying to make their pistols more of a Glock design like Sigs new polymer pistols and such...

No better form of flattery than people trying to imitate...

I'll keep my Sig's, Beretta's,I've never liked a Glock, tried, I've owned a dozen different 1's and just hate them. Most uncomfortable gun in my hand to shoot than any I've ever owned or shot.
Good guns, just not for me.

Yep, shoot and carry what is most comfortable for you..

I have a Taurus (Beretta copy M9 type) handgun. I hate the ergonomics of that pistol. It shoots ok but I would never carry it..

Sore losers always say that. The winning bidder had to meet the specifications.

I have shot Glocks but prefer the Springfield XD. Don't like the built-in safety on the trigger only in the Glock. Just a matter of choice.

A Gen 4 G19 followed me home Friday. Had the gun shop install TruGlo sights on it as well.

Goes nicely with my G30SF.

And....don't forget, the FBI now issues Glocks in 40 cal so there will be virtually no training for the new 9mm pistol.

Yep, training can stay the same and no retraining armorers either...
