Default Guys adventure trip ideas

Two years ago when a college buddy and I turned 40 we took a bucket list trip. I had never caught a billfish so we went to Costa Rica and caught sailfish until our arms were sore. Also surfed and partied etc.

We had so much fun we decided to make it an annual thing, and he got to choose the second trip. We spent a few days last January in West Texas "hunting" wild pigs from helicopters. Not necessarily my cup of tea but hey it was a new experience.

Now it's my turn again. Neither budget nor time constrains allow for a grand vacation. Think long weekend in January - February. Give me some suggestions. I have always wanted to go to the Miami Boat Show, so that's a possibility. But these trips are also an excuse to do something dumb the wives would never want to (like shooting pigs out of 'copters).

What ya got?

I am all over that but we need to pick a specific weekend well in advance so it's too weather dependent. I would LOVE to take my boat down there and make the crossing.

Rent a Winnebago and head west....stopping by BBQ joints and bourbon distillery's.....with the final destination being the RED Rocks Amphitheater to catch a show.

I'm planning this(above) with some of my homeboys.

Go run with the bulls in Spain

Head to Carnivale in Brazil

Head to MOAB and rent 4x4's and go 4 wheelin or mountain biking

Hike a part of the App. trail

go to a Dude ranch and live like a cowboy for 4 days

How many days max? budget? I've done quite a few of these... given the month, do you ski/board? A snow trip is always fun.

Here is a list of guy trips that I have done/want to do

Keys road trip
Belize
Southwest road trip to see national parks including sedona, Grand canyon, zion, etc
Mardi gras in NOLA
Galapagos
Iguazu
mexico (puerto vallarta, cabo, cancun, mayan riviera, etc)
bourbon trail

this is just the beginning

Go to Daytona (or some other track), take the one-day program that lets you and your buddy drive a bunch of laps in a NASCAR. You can compare sh$t stains when you're done

If your a sports fan y'all could carefully schedule a 4-5 day event to see various teams play over these days across the country. It would be pretty fun jet setting and hanging out drinking/eating in various spots and sports venues.

I like the dude ranch idea. Some of them you live like a king but there is guy stuff to do. I've wanted to go for a long time but my wife has other ideas. Time to plan a stag vacation or go alone I guess.

Also would like to go to a shooting school somewhere out west and shoot 50 calibers.

January/February is a great time to head to the midwest and shoot ducks/geese. It's a great 3 day weekend; and won't run you much more than a grand per person.... well depending on what you spend at casinos/strip clubs.

Not exactly the right time of year, but renting an RV and going to Talladega (infield) for the weekend is definitely a unique experience. I'm not a nascar guy, but that was one hell of a time.

Why don't you and your buddy go see the Great Barn and Fence in Bradenton FL??

Actually, you could stop by on your road trip to the Orange Bowl NYE in Miami. Hey could still have a chance for the hookers n blow n yoga.
