Default Using cash coming to a end.Against the law to use!

This is happening now and within a few years there will be no cash transactions. In fact it will be illegal.Think im crazy,NOT.As of right now there testing a new system to do instant transactions with any payment to anyone. Were talking car payments, etc, etc, that now take a couple days. Most dont use any cash now anyways, but heres the kicker. Why are they doing this.Couple of reasons, first this will cut out all the cash sales done by many small businesses like gas stations and so on that will now have to pay taxes on everything.Next is the drug dealers, there done. Then the terror groups across the world, done. And now the biggest reason is for the next Financial Crisis so everyone doesnt run to the bank and try to get there cash out THAT THE BANKS DONT HAVE.This is happening now in many other countries and will come here soon. The Gov will track every move and every penny you spend and make. They actually will make it illegal to do cash transactions over a certain amount and it will be low, around $1500.So if your hoarding cash or have a cash business id start thinking about this.Buy gold bullion. The banks love this idea and 100% with it.

That mindset is moving along...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...-the-100-bill/

However the major issue I see with it is that then citizens are being forced to pay transaction fees included with electronic payments through private companies. (ie credit card fees, debit fees, etc.) Does the fed gov then regulate those fees or take over the industry? Also what about right to privacy law suits? Heck, it is legal to kill unborn children over privacy in this country...

All well and good, but the decision makers are tied to the corrupt organizations, so this will take a while to evolve.
The technology to support a cashless society isn't novel.
Cashless society doesn't eliminate corrupt activity, it actually gives it a much broader platform (think identity theft).
Moving $1mm in cash is hardly a problem, even if it's in pennies.
It is far easier to move large sums in illicet electronic events.
Cashless society doesn't influence criminal activity, won't eliminate it, and will actually make it easier by driving more of the normal population to consider non-traditional avenues.

Notice any increase in barter or alteranative monetary approaches lately (ala bit coin)?

That should make 99% of the population immediately devastated by a cyber attack. Nobody would have a way to even buy their next meal in the blink of an eye.

There are no credible sources that support your hypothesis.

won't change my life but it would mean all of the people doing work for cash might have to pay taxes like the rest of us.

But I'm taking the entire thread with a large grain of salt.

I used to always carry $100-$150 cash for purchases. I do almost all my purchases with credit or debit card today. I'll have change for a $20 in my console for coffee or a burger, otherwise I just put it on a card and keep zero balance on my credit cards at the end of the month.

US cash money is used the world over. If they were to stop printing it eventually it would be replaced by a different currency and that would be used as the standard currency for the world's fiat based markets. Not a sound economic plan for a nation.

As an aside, who pays their dealer these days with cash anyway? How very provincial.

Theres no kool aid in facts. Most have no clue and never will have a clue. And most will never take the actual time and read whats going on.Its true that only about 5% know the real story. The economy is growing at .5% do you know that,Over 24 countries are now using negative interest rates, thats right.Do know more money has been flowing out of the market then ever, but goes up.Gold sales for the first 3 months this year are more then ever in the last 40 years with hedge funds loading now.Did you know that your bank doesnt have your money.Go to the bank and tell them you wanna withdraw 50k right then, even 15k.See what they tell you.You guys talking kool aid are the ones drunk on it.Proven facts

I don't believe this nonsense for a second. Sure, the % of electronic to total transactions will go up, but it ain't gonna be 100% anytime soon.
