These thread are always silly.

I used to be a "prepper," until I realized what a bunch of loonies most preppers are.

I'm still prepared as I want to be, I'm just not a crazy about it.

How silly? If there is a war of any substantial size, prices on certain things will skyrocket, good to plan ahead in case even if it is only information at this time.

Bullets. If need be, bullets can be traded for beans if you have enough to use to get food and defend.Get federal to start stamping in God we trust on their brass...

Nothing, I'll be killing the people who stock up. Kidnap their kids then ambush them when they come looking for them. Simple formula.

What do you want to accomplish by "stocking up?"

If you're looking to profit from a disaster or other event, I can't help you.

If you want to make it through a catastrophic event, then I would say stock up on the things you need to survive; water is first, then food, then security.

There are other considerations, of course, like medical; each person's situation is different.
