At Microcenter, the Intel flagship gaming cpu just dropped $220 this morning. basically 33% cut in price. So telling that they know what's coming.

I jumped out yesterday morning at $29.23, made a cool 14% in under two weeks. Enough to pay for my new Dell 38" Ultrawide curved monitor.

I'll get back in if it drops under $27 before the July 7 Launch.

I had to pull some gains off today. I was up around 30%..... from when I jumped back in awhile ago. This stock has been very good to me.
Thanks /Bugs!

Please don't take this the wrong way. I think AMD is a solid company with a very bright future and thank Bugs for making me aware of it.
I first bought at about $6 and sold half when Bugs sounded an alarm bell at $14 +-.

At that point my cost to own was below $0 for the shares I kept. Since then I have purchased at $10, $13, $15, and a small amount at $30 when it was that high a while back. With no trading in and out I am up over 300% and expect the best is yet to come.

I am not bashing or bragging, just do not understand the "trading" if you expect good things long term.

7.86% increase today..... nice day!

My prediction of 40 (I think that's what is was) by the end of the year is getting closer...

It's a fair question, regardless if you believe in the stock long term or not there is no denying that this is a very volatile industry. That means this and all other tech stocks have a lot of fluctuation, I don't know but there are some patterns about news releases that clue you into the peaks and dips.

Here is the most recent example. I believe this stock with be $33 to $35/share sometime before July 7th due to the new products and all the press that will continue to come. However, I also feel that $35 is overpriced for this right now and I think it will level out at about $30 by end of summer.

If I believe that, then getting in on the dips and taking advantage of the heights/hype/news releases, you can make money over and over again with the stock price not really exceeding it's ceiling. With that being said, you are doing that trading on a stock that you believe in for the long run, so if you get in a tough position, you just wait it out.

It's all fun though, regardless of your style.

I l"ove it when AMD is thrown in with "tech" stocks, without AMD and Intel there would be NO TECH. Intel enjoyed a great run when they jumped into bed with the CIA and "almost" put AMD out, but that move is coming back to bite them in a HUGE way right now, I'm not going to bring politics into this topic but it is the very reason that the Intel back doors were exposed. Basically you can go in and make anything look like it came from anybody on an intel CPU. One of the tech sites looked up all the govt bids for computers, all intel with multhreadding. Not one AMD PC. The US will keep using these pcs, but I bet some that got hacked will be going with AMD.

E(xpect deep intel price cuts on current gen CPUs, layoffs etc. Only news from intel is an experimental laptop cpu (good lord read those reviews, almost 100% return rate....ouch) but they will eventually get it figured out by late 2020/21 but AMD will be the chip to buy for the foreseeable future. They did the only thing they had to do is improve IPS gains by 10-15%, game over.

Yeah, AMD just delivered the KO and Intel has NO response. Get ready for the SHOCK market, this may be better than my first post.

I watched that yesterday when you posted on another thread. Way over my head for the most part but certainly seems like AMD will be gaining market share from Intel.
