Default Drunnk and watching the olympics...

I was just sitting on the sofa enjoying a Double Tall Vodka and Tonic when the Mrs. Mardi-Gras made a startling discovery.........

apparently when she was doing the laundry she counted 96 socks that did not have a mate.......

that seems like a lot of lost socks.....any suggestions?

Is she drinking vodka and tonics also?

if she is, I think a recount in the morning would solve the problem and be the most productive thing to do.

As one drunk olympic watching fool to another, I feel that it is a conspiracy!!!! She is really hiding the other 96 until you give up looking for the lost souls. Then, she will unthread all the yarn to help produce a martian landing machine. Upon this completeion, she and her fellow sock stealing wives will combine their poweres and take over the universe, leaving the men to die from hypothermia because we are all walking around with only one sock!!!!!

Hmmmmmmmm........96 socks.............hmmmmmmmmmm.........Mrs. Mardi-Gras must not do the laundry very often.

Hmmmmmmmm........96 socks.............hmmmmmmmmmm.........how long are you wearing your socks? Five minutes at a time? That our you've got a lot of kids?

Hmmmmmmmm.......96 socks..............hmmmmmmmmmm.........how are you buying your socks? By the skid load?

Hmmmmmmmm.......96 socks..............hmmmmmmmmmm.........take 45 different colors of yarn about 2" in length each, cut each piece of yarn in half, take any two socks and stitch the two pieces of yarn in each sock.....now you've got 48 pairs of socks again.

Well I demanded a recount after my head cleared... it is official we have 95 single socks...after a little research I discovered why we had so many.......

aparently after we were flooded out by Hurricane Isabel in 2003 there were numerous socks that were in the laundry room that spent quite a few days if not weeks soaking in sea water and 95 degree days........all those were discarded......

So in Alicia's (aka Mrs. Mardi-Gras) infinite wisdom she decided to keep the good socks of the split up pairs so one day she could find them a home with other unfortunate sock abduction victims.....

So to make the story short...the hitched ride to the curb this morning to wait for collection by the city workers on monday.....

And to think of all the one legged people who could have used those and you're throwing them away.

BTW, the Olympics start early today. Does that mean we can start drinking early too?

Mardi-Gras,
Why such a fetish for socks? Were you once a shoe salesman?

Now there's my kind of guy.......that's what I call "cleaning work", so therefore it's not my job either. Keep her in line man, it's good for them.

EEEEEEEEEWWWWW~~~!!!! Catchin' a visual here, Mardi-Gras ~ THANKS.....

Oh, and Garrett, BTW.... if you'd just BE NICE to your wife and give her those extra socks (for cleaning YOUR boat) then MAYBE she might just be nice enough back to do that job in the "buff". Unfortunately, you don't know HOW to be nice.

Everything is cool, just as long as Mrs Mardi Gras doesn't have a girlfriend with the same problem.
