Tate was due and I now she will get her third match with Rousey, but I doubt she wants it while holding the belt.

I think Mcgregor was probably a little complacent. Money is on the line but not the title doesn't have the same incentive.

I didn't see either fight so that is just speculation.

Meisha Tate pulled the upset with that submission. She was losing the fight deep in the 5th and had no choice but to finish.

Macgregor looked great in the first round, but I think the size differencer was an issue. He was landing shots that would've knocked out fighters in his weight category, but Diaz kept moving forward. Nothing worse than hitting someone with all youve got and they keep coming at you. He was stunned in the 2nd with a 1-2 combo from Diaz and Diaz knew it. The whole fight changed at that point. Macgregor took it to the ground in an act of desperation and was submitted in seconds. He was still gracious in post fight interviews. I think this kid is the future of the UFC

Rousey destroyed Tate twice already and probably is eager to win the belt back through her vs. Holm.

Nate Diaz was a 300:1 underdog I believe going in to the fight. Those 2 brothers outta Compton are some bad arses.

still gracious? that might have been the first time

as far as the future of the UFC, I hope not. he's talking Dana into doing stuff he's never done before, last nights card sucked. The McGregor -Diaz fight was goo but I much prefer the cards being stacked to Dana promising one fighter so much bonus money because he's a loud mouth promoter. Hopefully that changes now, as they say it ain't bragging if you back it up....he didn't last night

I was so glad to find out McGregor lost, he is such an arrogant jerk off. All the crap he said about never losing another fight....WRONG!!

I am not a fan of what Dana and McGregor are changing the UFC into. To allow McGregor to fight without defending his belt is ridiculous, the only reason Dana does it is for dollar signs. Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo both deserve shots at McGregor

Dana cost himself bigtime... Holm/Rousey was $billion PPV down the tube. Will be interesting to see if Tate has learned anything since 2 losses to Rousey...

All n all pretty good fights.

Holly has been exposed for being as much of a one trick pony as Rousey. Holly has no ground game, Rousey only has an arm bar.

McGregor was gassing early, due to fighting two weight classes up.

Holm and Rousey should fight, with the winner then fighting Tate. Dana says Tate vs. Rousey but Rousey has a couple of movies to make first.

This. I enjoyed all the fights. I think its usually a bad idea to move too far up or down in weight class when you get to this level. Remember BJ vs GSP?

What about a Holm/Tate rematch with a Holm win? Would that put the Holm/Rousey match back in the spotlight, or is that just passing the belt around to the champ du jour?

Heard an interview on ESPN today with Dana White. They asked him if he would do more fights at a catch weight with a fighter moving up or down in weight. He said he'd love to but nobody wants to do it. Connor had a fight with Rafael Dos Anjos, who broke his foot ten days before the fight. Connor asked Dana to set up the fight with Diaz. He could've set up a fight with some loser in his own division but asked to have a fight with a good fighter TWO weight classes above him! Guys Connor Magregor is a class act and an excellent fighter and great for MMA. Talking shit is part of his game prior to the fight, but once the fight starts and after he is all business. In full disclosure I was happy the Gracie guy won
