Default Windows 10 Blue Screening

People that upgraded to Windows 10 are getting bit with a BLUE SCREEN, then a message that they are preparing an automatic repair and then blinking screen and the message "system thread exception not handled" and it keeps on and on blue screeinging, got my stepmoms 2 days ago, she took it to a geek store and they said it was the 4th one they saw this week and they are not able to get into the system to try and repair or reload win 7, there goes $1500 bucks thanks to WINDOWS

New laptop with Win10 and love it. I do not like the log in every time it goes to sleep but otherwise good to go.

Reinstall Windows 7 from scratch. Or windows 10.
But you'll lose any data.
There is most likely a incompatible driver causing the BSOD.
Upgrade installs are hit or miss. Nuke it from orbit I say.

Or you can send it to me and I will clean install Windows 7 or 10 after I search the HD for any data you want.
100$ plus you pay shipping both ways.

With a bsod there will sometimes be an error code displayed at the bottom of the message. Write this down, then search for it on Google to see what the code represents.

I am very happy with Windows 7 and see no reason to upgrade.

Agreed. Some of the software/apps I use at work still advise not upgrading.

x2.
I am using 8.1 on one and 7 on the other laptop. 8.1 it isn't to bad once you get the hang of it.
Tried 10 but went back

It's pretty easy. Just looks to be complicated. After you watch the video a couple of times you will understand it better.
By the way, when you copy the program to the USB put it away somewhere in case you ever need it again for some reason. Don't erase it

love windows 10. Many problems are from people upgrading. If you get it with a new, decent computer its great.

I am having to go back to Windows 7 on my work computer. Some programs are not stable on 10 yet. Bloomberg is especially buggy for me.

I agree with what you said. I bought my granddaughter a new laptop for Christmas. It came with Windows 10. I set it up for her and I think getting Windows 10 in a new computer is better than trying to upgrade from another version.

I was just talking to two of the members of my boat club tonight at an event. Both of them upgraded to 10 one from Vista and the other from Windows 7. Both had issues and had to take their computers to a local computer repair shop. They both had to have their PC's wiped and Windows 10 done as a fresh install. No issues with the fresh install but definite issues with the upgrade.

this is where I think the problem begins also, and since this upgrade was pushed and sponsored by microsoft then they are the ones that should correct their mess, a lot of people do not have the resources to correct another poor operating system.
