Default This Pulled in to my work site...NICE

So i'm heading out of my work yesterday and this pulls in.

1970....440....not a hemi......and the kicker was...a CHICK was driving.

It sounded pretty bad ass.....and looks pretty bad ass.

Just don't see many of these around on the road.

One of my all time favorites. If I remember right, from a superbird/daytona shoot out that a big magazine did in the 80s, the 440 six pack would take the hemi off the line, but the hemi would average a car length or two at the 1/4 mile. Only thing better than an orange superbird, might be a green one.

If that car was 1/10sec. SLOWER at the strip than the guy in the other lane, you could STILL beat him with that 3ft. front end!

Love the car but that front end RUINS the overall look, IMHO.

Reminds me of my high school years, there must of been 30 at any given time in the parking lot.

I have done a good amount of work on two different documented super birds. They are tricky. I have seen factory gaps that were not great before. but there are a lot of dead giveaways way before the gaps. Iconic cars though. Low production numbers, racing history, styling make them great collectors cars. Prices really fell off on these things though. A nice true car can be had from 125k and up for a 440 car. 440+6 a little more. Hemi cars can approach 500k

I was going to say the same thing.
Absolutely beautiful car without that pointy nose.

I remember these buzzing around the streets.

Back in the early 70's,there was a stretch of road behind a milk factory in our town.Guys from the area would come on Sundays and drag race.
The word got out and this thing became very popular. Folks would show up from all over.We used to make our way down there most Sundays.
The cars that would show up were nothing short of incredible.
Every ass kicking muscle car imaginable was there.
Always a few of these road runners.
One Sunday there was a wreck and a girl was killed. The cops shut it down for good.
Too bad. Great times and great memories.

The panel fit on Mopars was pretty bad in that era. But then so were the Vette's.
