Default Who watches the winter Olympics and why?

Maybe it's the southern location that I live in but nothing in these games does much for me. You have the teenage punks doing narly snowboarding, girls performing in both the men's and ladies ice skating events, skiers walking around shooting BB guns, etc. Does anybody really give a darn about these games?

Amen brother.

Winter Olympics don't do it for me. I will say that the Winter Olympics served as a satirical target for one of the best SNL skits ever..... Chris Farley figure skating with Nancy Kerrigan. If anyone has the link........?

They should have somthing like , GIANT BLUE FIN TUNA , as an event, it take's place in the winter and is a heck of a sport.

The try out's and practice would be a blast.

Fishing doesn't make you an athlete in any stretch of the imagination.

The punks are fing awesome at what they do. If you had the balls to go off a 125m ski jump, I'd buy you a boat.

Back off.

Lots of world class athletes.

But you probably wouldn't understand.

I have a lot of friends who compete.

And most of you are probably overweight.

Skibum,

I never said I was an athlete , I said SPORT and fishing is a sport.

And for your info. aint no wussie can hang on to a 200/300 lb fish on stand up gear and get it in, it take's knowledge, power and skill.

So twist another fat one and take another shot of roids and calm down.

No fatties and no 'roids.

Sorry you live in North Texas and can't appreciate the skills it takes for these athletes to accomplish what they do.
