My wife and I are soon to be empty nesters, thank god. We are having a discussion what are we going to do with our free time. I say join a bar. She says you can 't join a bar I say bull shit. Let's hear you opinions

Op did you mean like an Elk's club or similar??

Of course you can join a bar. Some have golf courses and stuff too.

Not sure what "join a bar" means unless you are an attorney. I have lots of interests and hobbies I will engage in once my youngest is gone. For now, I am not wanting that to happen anytime soon even though he drives me crazy sometimes.

Yes like Norm . Why is going to a bar as regulars any different then Say joining a country club. I am not the country club type. And no I do not plan on drinking my retirement away , just st thinking what I am going to do when there is no cheer practice pick up or meets or play practices or dropping off at friends house etc. I fish a ton and golf and play tennis but just thinking on a daily like basis

a VFW or American Legion, Im sons of legion member....we enjoy it 2-4 times a month...steak nights and karaoke....also football on sundays...I enjoy spending time with the vets
