So actually how much snow do you guys get down in CT?

To bad you couldn't have gotten a 2 stage snowblower for that cost.

Awesome Byram.

I bought 3 snowblowers from WISE sales on the board here (one for my dad, my fatherinlaw, and myself), and it has worked. Since delivery on December 15th I have had no snow.

Your action will assure the continued snowless winter for those in the tristate area

Garett.. We don't get enough snow to justify that size IMO.. I'm down by the water so my snowfall is always less than inland. I currently have a 5.5hp 24" machine thats fine but for the price I paid it was a no brainer.. Remember...Horsepower..the more the better everyone says that with outboards..right ?

It is a 2 stage blower. Not sure what you mean

It is a 2 stage blower. Not sure what you mean
Good!
A single stage snowblower relies on the auger to blow the snow from the machine. A 2 stage snowblower has a powered paddle wheel at the base of the snow shoot to throw the snow out the shoot......the auger collects the snow and the second stage throws the snow. A 2 stage snowblower is less likely to clog and it will throw the snow a lot further - it is the better of the two machine styles.

Garret I disagree with the 2 stage theory All of the snowblower trucks I have run are single stage and all will throw snow farther than anything I have ever seen I have a Craftsman 18hp tractor with the single stage and that will throw over 100' easy
The 2 stage walk behind 5-12hp will barely out perform my 50cc toro single stage 2str snow thrower This is not an aguement just my observations I own 2 2stage ariens the tractor and the toro

As I watch the white stuff fall at this moment, glad I bought that 4WD Xterra. With a 400' driveway, a snowblower just aint gonna cut it.

Completed first round of show blowing/shoveling. 16 inches. Another 8 are expected to fall by nightfall. The Honda I got from Wise is awesome. My two boys are pitching in. They have a neat system: Shovel for 3 minutes, fight for 5, shovel another 3, fight for 5, listen to dad yell for 2, cry for 1, come in for hot chocolate while dad finishes what they started, laugh and smile knowingly out the window at dad for 20 minutes.

Who says kids aren't smart?
