Default High Seas Melt Down!

With all the NOAA regulations strangling our fishermen my buddy was finally pushed too far. He plays by the rules and has all the latest electronics which also allows the NMFS to track all his moves then this:

His boat is tracked by the NMFS, if he fished in closed areas they would know it in real time. And they can go back in history and see all his movements. My bet is the Coast Guard screwed up on their end.

Hope he won that one.

If he ever needs them they'd damned well better be there as they would for any other vessel in distress. That's their job and why we pay taxes, and they most definitely do not get to decide for whom and with what level of passion they perform it!

If capt screwed up his nav, he's going to be in a bit of a mess. If the CG screwed up, they should apologize. Sitting in a comfy taxpayer funded top end patrol boat, picking at a capt that might be wondering how he is going to pay his boat note, fuel dock and crew.. much less pay himself. Can easily see someone get cranky, and boy did he ever.

Who's the Capt, SSF? I wonder if the Mods could ban him from here?

This was a direct result of being pushed to the brink. the captain of that boat has followed the rules for a long time only to have the government and its extended agencies destroy his way of making a living. That was the voice of a man that has nothing to lose.
