I know She works for the Gov. now making around $20/hr.Her Dad worked at the Naval Academy and retired at around 50 yrs. old or so,then Taught Fire Safety or something like that. She wants to Join the Navy and get a College Education... And get a better Job with the Gov.She just got the full Sponsorship about a year or 2 ago. She's a very good Rider..But I suppose She is looking at the long term..Wish the hell I would have when I was Her age!! ..She also had an offer last year to Ride World wide for around $100K a year! There is also a good possibility of Injuries with Riding that hard, some You could regret later in life.Like I said ,She is a pretty smart young Girl!

She is far from a top level pro and she does not have a factory ride. I think someone is feeding us a line of BS. I Grew up racing since I was age 5, my dad owned two tracks and I know a few of the top level guys. From looking at her results from last year, she was consistently in the top 10, usually around 5th - 7th. She does not have a factory backed ride (she may be factory supported, totally different and I can explain if you'd like). She may have a few sponsors, but calling her a pro is a stretch. In terms of women's motocross, like most sports, the girls that win national titles and are legitimate, factory backed pros are barely making enough to feed themselves. Even in the men, if your not in the top 5, you aren't raking in the money.

One serious injury and that could be it.
Preparing for the long haul is a smart thing to do for her.

Lone Ranger, are you going down to watch the races in B-more?
You know what would be cool to see, all the outlaw street riders, i.e. "12:00 o'clock boys", have a class for them and let them on the track. That would bring the crowds.
They are always bitchin about not having a place to ride.

Thanks Jeff! Have to get to work and clean Her House out, some Painting and small repairs and sell it now..She does not have a lot of money and Assisted Living is $6K/month!! She is at my Sisters as of yesterday. She is doing MUCH better, but still has lost some of Her cognitive skills.Has bone on bone in 1 Knee. They won't operate on it because of Her age and health..Uses a walker, sometimes loses control of Her Bowels and Bladder..

She has had about 3 Mini-Strokes since 2008...First one was detectable...We think She had another one somewhere between Thanksgiving and Xmas...Big difference in Her in that 30 day time period. Some Mini-Strokes are Not detectable,as they said there was not anymore damage than there was in 2008..Long road ahead!!

She from my hood Ranger! I wonder where she practices, I know there's no where round here? I hope she doesn't have to go all the way to Budd Creek just to practice. Years ago we all used to go riding down back on Marley Neck before they started putting all the developments in. Then of course there was always Bloody Pond, but the cops were forever back there so if you did go riding down there you knew you were gonna be running from the cops before you even went.
