I owned a double drawer F&P dishwasher for about 2 years. After the 5th or 6th service call, I replaced it with a standard Kitchen Aid. Haven't called a repairman since...

A lot of RVers in Mexico replace with Mabe brand. I have two in my house and apartment there - they work fine and are not expensive. Some of their models fit RVs. Just a thought.

I have one in a rental condo. It's about 10 years old and runs great. Never had an issue. It Makes a strange noise when it's working, but it has been doing that since new so I really never gave it much thought.

On a side note I do like how they stamped the F&P name 1/4 the way from the top of the stainless door. My new subzero has a crappy stick on plate.

They have a huge warehouse/distribution point in NJ next to the turnpike around exit 8. I doubt they are manufactured there but it's a big ass building 2-300,000ft2

Had one for over ten years and it worked fine, sold it for $100 when we had kids because it was too small. I'd buy another.

We recently looked and were not impressed with their built-ins. The last couple were Sub-Zero but the new house will be Thermador.

We have a washer and dryer and hate them. The service men have nothing good to say about them. Should had done more research before wasting our money.

Look at the Samsung line. Most motor home conversions use the model 197. Here's a link to discussion and install/battery questions:

I also had the drawer style dishwashers and they sucked terribly.
After the appliance repairman(on his 3rd trip) realized I was a boat guy he explained to me that I owned the Chrysler & Force outboard of dishwashers.
Because of all the issues I had with them including grossly expensive parts having to be ordered from Sweden I have decided that I will never purchase another Fisher Pakel product again and will flame them anytime the opportunity presents it self.

P.S. I have never owned the fridge.

well thanks for all the input. bama I looked hard at the Samsung I needed counter depth and everything was 70" tall and it was just to tall since its already 17" off the floor. so I wound up ordering a whirlpool wrt316sfdm its an old style freezer on top in stainless. fisher paykel just got horrible reviews and I didn't want headaches with this thing. so old school and cheap got a buddy to use military discount at lolwes an it was 650. out the door.

Sweden? That might be part of your problem... they are New Zealand product manufacturing in Mexico, Italy, Thailand and New Zealand. Not Sweden.

We have a washer and dryer from FP. When we purchased we were told that much of the design is actually GE and parts would be readily available. In seven years of ownership I needed one repair and the part was here in two days, just like any other appliance part we've ordered. As a result we have been quite satisfied.

Maytag/KitchenAid on the other hand . . . . .
