I assume you are open to criticism on the video? To many "Um's" and pauses. Work on sounding more sure of yourselves when you speak. Pauses during sentences comes off like you aren't sure exactly what you are trying to say. If you don't sound confident, we don't have confidence in you either. Also, lose the confederate flag at the end. I am not one of them, but you will lose people if you leave it up there. To gain a large audience, you can't alienate people. Having that flag will alienate some. And finally, I am not a fisherman, so I can't say for sure, but it seemed like you covered every aspect of catfishing all in the one video. If it were me, I would concentrate on one aspect (maybe just the rod selection) and make a video about just that one thing. Leave me wanting more, so I watch your next video, on whatever the next aspect is. Otherwise, good video. Good luck with the channel.

It is "Hillbilly Fishing" so his target audience is folks that have no issue with the Confederate flag.

Carry on kids and good luck to you all.

And I'll add that "poles" are for flags. "Rods" are for fishing

While editing it, I recognized that, we need to watch the way we put our words and vocabulary. But then again, I'm from the south we got fishin poles...

I like your video, it's nice to see the younger crowd outside enjoying the outdoors.

First off quit cutting up your pants.

Ifishalot's top secret chicken liver tip; Take two chicken liver
packs (whatever that size in in the little bowl) and put them in a gallon ziploc bag. Salt them heavily in the bag, mix up the livers and salt real good. Put them in the refrigerator overnight.

The salt toughens (firms) up the liver an unbelievable amount. You will have no problems keeping the liver on the hook now. The salt will have no negative effect on the catfish bite.

Good luck.

EDIT: Use the cheapest non-iodized salt you can find. You can also add garlic seasoning.... I have had mixed results with that.

Hillbilly guys,, you all did great in the video. Enjoyed it, understood every word, talk just like you guys its the rest on here I worry about at times,,, stick it on you tube and enjoy it. We learn as we go.

1/4 of the members on here don't even have a boat, another forth couldn't get it off the trailer without wrecking "IFFIN" they had to, so you guys fit right in and got my vote , and your Poll or rod, I'd bet a dollar a good percentage of the rest would hook more behind them than getting it in the river. Especially with that bate caster.

Post them up when you guys make them. Fantastic to see you younger guys taking your time for something thats productive and just good "CLEAN FUN" .
Ok, you'll way is a little dirtier than mine, but hell,, who cares.

Shag you know i'm having fun with this. . Have a great evening.

A Yankee here who has no problem with the Confederate flag background at the end of the video.

Generally well done for amateur video.

Having said that.....you need to do a better job editing the final product, cutting out dead time and some of the non sequential video. Additionally, the explanation of hooks and sinkers/weights could be better done and tailored down to the basics.

Nice going guys! Glad to see you enjoy the outdoors and fishing. Keep up the video work and keep posting them to THT.

Brought a girl down from Maggie Valley stayed with me for two years. Her father and I hit it off right off the bat, would bring a full cooler of those trout down when he came, I use to mop up on the cat fish, in the black and cape fear with the shocker, he loved cats, I loved those pink brookie's. We busted up don't miss her sure as hell miss her dad. Damn good fishing buddy.
If I had my choice on the best fish I've even eaten it would be that pink brookie.
