Default People you meet during duck season

If you hunt, I hope you find this as funny as I did.

Funny stuff and a good bit of truth to it.

Didn't need to read any further than "Trust fund baby". Had one in our group, couldn't hit a duck if was taped to the end of his barrel.

I've got 200 hand carved cork decoys and a pair of Sammie Hunt sneak boxes that will likely never again be used like they once did and like they deserve. I probably should find a good home for all.

Wonder how many on this forum would fit the Internet scout shoe?

Love it...... Did all my duck hunting when I was a teenager with my dad and his friends. Our spots were great and lots of ducks. When they outlawed lead is about the time we gave it up. Learned a pile. Learned to talk to ducks at night after the hunt while the men were drinking in the house or boat shed. I would go back to the blind and call ducks for hours at night when they are real talkative. Miss those days.

That's hilarious! I sent it to my buddy Scott. He is the epitome of The Trust Fund Baby. He can call the heck out of ducks though and is a great shot.

My old man is definitely a Steve McQueen. He shoots an old 870, 30" fixed full and never misses. He definitely hasn't bought camo since Carter was in office..... his stuff is actually so old that it's back in style and marketed as "old school" camo.

I shoot an 870. I like the 26" barrel. I bought one a few years ago because it was inexpensive and better than my unreliable worn out mossberg 500.

I got a new benelli and for the past two years, I just cant get used to it. I shoot better with the 870 pump.

My 870 is one of the newer ones with the cheaper laminated wood stock and plastic trigger assy. I am thinking about selling the benelli, buying a used classic 870 off gunbroker, and having a gunsmith go through it and polish up the internals, replace anything worn out.

My last duck hunt in the states was years ago consisted of shooting woodies in the swamps of north florida with low brass 8's unplugged guns and a shit load of corn , milo and molasses thrown in for good measures. Now that was some fun shooting.
