So glad I stopped scrolling down when I saw eyelashes. A spoiler warning in the topic heading would be nice.

Pussies !

Use sidecuts to nip the barb off the hook, twist the rest out, & throw in some eye antibiotics & get back to fishing !

Yep, that eye ball is history.
Yum Yum.

LET'S SEE YOUR BATTLE WOUNDS.
Fishing or boat related only.

I'll raise it a spliced in half finger. Razor knife boo boo while cutting glass matting.

That eyes done, damage the pupil and it's over. It will heal and look normal, just not work. Trust me, learned the hard way

I bet that fingernail slowing down that blade was the only reason that cut didnt go all the way through.

Don't know about that one.
Bone was the only thing preventing me from amputating my own finger.
Brand new blade, as I was cutting it was as in battle, slow motion, knew it was happening but couldn't do a damn thing about it but say a few choice words afterwards.
$2500 ER Bill.

Onward, next???

I had all barbs of a Zara Spook embedded into my head. Thank God I was facing the other way. Bad part was that my buddy thought he got it caught in the trees and started yanking on it real hard to free it. That dug it in real good.

No photos but here goes: We were at our place on Cayo Costa and fishing from shore. The snook were biting pretty good on artificials. Was me, the admiral, 2 kids and our friend Eric. Eric is on a backcast and our dog grabs his Rapala out of the air. One treble hook thru the lip. I run back to our cabin to get my fishing pliers. Admiral tries to console the dog, to no avail. Admiral is holding the dog as I attempt to cut the barb. Dog swipes at me with her paw, impaling the admirals's hand and the paw! Three treble hooks imbedded in three different locations on two lifeforms! While I'm performing surgery, Eric proceeds to catch 2 more snook and a keeper red!
