Default Formal Introduction

Hello THT...

I am a LONG time lurker, new poster. I have learned a metric TON from the search feature, DIY posts, and my favorite, the restoration posts. Some very experienced folks on here and I am very thankful for this forum.

I'm not new to boating, grew up on them... but, I recently bought myself a nice center console, "new" to me, and the perfect size for my lifestyle. As I grow with it, I look forward to my online journey as well.

A wee bit about me... 28 years in the Army (Active and Guard)... still serving in the Florida Guard as a Warrant Officer (I was a five year 1SG) before transitioning to Warrant. I am a part time, fully sworn LEO, to keep my certifications active. I own Ranger Proof Arms (Custom AR Manufacturer) in Tampa, FL and have spent my life either in the Military or Law Enforcement.

I love nice boats, good single barrel bourbon, small batch whiskies, single malt scotch, hand rolled cigars, Jeeps, outdoors, Skydiving, Scuba Diving, bikinis and red meat. I'm in the Tampa Bay / St. Pete area, looking to meet other like minded folks in the area to learn how to get my blue water fishing skills up to par!

Love to spear fish, been diving my whole life (Advanced, Full Cave, Nitrox, TriMix, Tech, blah blah blah)...

Not a politically driven dude, just a red blooded American who loves and lives life to the fullest. I run a pretty successful social media driven business (@rangerproof on Instagram). I can't give much advice on boating, or building boats, but I can give freely in other areas of my background. I'm an open book...

Thank you to the MODS for running a tight ship! (See what I did there?)

Anyway... enough of my drivel. I figured I'd post an intro before I delve into my new boat life.

Name's Darren... glad to be here.

I am absolutely open to meeting new folks... my Girl Lisa dives as well. I'm teaching her the art of spear fishing. I'm learning to wean away from the tanks and hunt free diving.

I'm in the St. Pete / Tampa Bay area, but I head south all the time. Hogfish are my prey of choice...

Oh, I have plenty of her... she's a looker. Most are probably "sand bar" material... I just have to figure out how to get accepted into that forum... gonna try to join the Admiral's Club today, I just don't have a Pay Pal account set up.

Fixing that!

Welcome, and thank you for your service. Buy a sponsor wheel and run several THT Ranger Proof Arms discounts annually. You can make some friends here. If your discounts are large enough, you can buy friends here.

I just may do that Sir! Always looking for new Customers... I am a Scot, so I call my Customer Base the Ranger Proof Clan.

I just didn't know if that would be ok, being firearms related. But, I will get with the MODS and see about making it happen.

Thank you for your suggestion!
