Default Amazon prime?

Is Amazon prime worth getting for streaming movies? It's cheaper than Netflix and you get free shipping.

Yes, especially for the shipping if you order from Amazon.

Amazon prime is a joke. I use to order stuff from there and have it in 3 days. Now I order stuff from there and they don't even process it for 3-5 days than ship it. I have it right now because they were offering a free promotion a few weeks ago.

Good for movie and TV, good for shopping. the only bad part is they want their $100 up front.

Not always true. I ordered an item and two days later it was here, and it arrived here on a Sunday. Every item is different you need to read the shipping info.

It's awesome.

If you order an item that's not "prime" you might get slower shipping if you didn't pay attention.

To Alaska from anywhere it's 2-3 days average (will be faster to everyone else).

Love it

My orders are usually to my house within 2-3 days max. Are you sure you are making sure you're ordering Prime products?

Yes, I am a Prime-a-holic.
Last 2 orders: gas auger, shower cleaner, and dress socks.

Love the movies and also have the Prime music included.

This. I have ordered things in the morning and they arrived the same day. Never an issue with shipping.

Amateur. I get stuff delivered same day; sometimes in a hour.

Sounds like operator error.

Make sure what you are ordering is prime eligible.

Yes, you and I are making the same mistake. Even though you are ordering through Prime, when it comes to shipping choices, you still have to choose 2 day delivery. I always screw up this part and get the stuff in 4-5 days.

Remember to choose 2 day delivery and you will get it in 2 days.

BTW, one-quarter of all American households are now Prime members.

I have Netflix and Prime. We watch NetFlix a lot more than Prime movies. Why? Because my Samsung teeeeveee is one of the few that is incompatible with Amazon movies. This did not stop me from watching the entire first season of Bloodline via Prime on my laptop in less than a week.

You might wanna check to see if your teeeeveeee is compatible before you purchase.

We have Prime, and use it frequently. Free shipping plus good deals on pet foods and other staples makes it worth the $99/year. Two years ago, we were given a free renewal due to an error on their part.

Amazon has botched a couple of our orders lately. One item listed as Prime and "in stock" was cancelled by us after Amazon told us it was "out of stock" (still listed as "in stock" on site) and would be delayed, after we had already waited two weeks. My experience with customer service was not terrific, either.

Love Prime but tbh the video choices that are free are limited. For anything good you still pay $4-6.

A tip... When you place an order for an item and you don't need to get it in 2 days then choose the shipping choice where you get $1-2 back to use on video or music. Even better if you're getting multiple items and all are free shipping, then do multiple complete orders with one item each - you can get the video $ credits for each one. In a year I get probably a dozen free movie rentals this way. Seems like the orders get here almost as fast anyway.

I still feel Prime is well worth the fee though. We've even given up our Sams Club membership instead ordering bulk groceries, etc off Prime for similar prices and with free shipping.

Long time prime member here. Streaming is just OK. Similar to netflix.

Lately (last 2 weeks), I've been having issues with 2 day shipping taking up to a week. I think the holiday business is getting them in trouble.
