Default Seasonal Air Conditioning Service

Just had my "seasonal" A/c service, guess everybody goes thru this, anyway the favorite tech has moved on and got a new guy this time, so couple questions.

The old tech always washed the coils, pulled the filters in the clean air system, took them outside and washed them, new tech says they were ok, no need for this, the old tech also poured an acid down the drain lines to clear them, new tech went outside and hooked a shop vac to them and sucked on them, so who is right?

Dehumidiifer under the house is an Aprilaire, last year a board went out, can't remember the price but didn't seem bad, ole tech removed the filter and washed it outside, dried it and reinstalled and poured acid thru drain line, new tech replaces a $248. board, says cleaner is fine, doesn't even vacuam the drain line??????????? I had told him to price out and see if the unit was in need of replacing.

Came into shop for Mitsubsihi's and just turned them on, checked amp draw, never cleaned a thing, again used his vacuam cleaner on drain lines and gone, obviously the old tech would removed and wahed filters and acid on the drain lines.

So which tech was right??????? It is deifnately time for a new company!
