Default Big Chief. Street Outlaws Destroyed his car !!

Fun as these shows are to watch when you put enough HP in something, things can go wrong.

Glad they are both OK.
He needed something new anyway, he couldn't beat Kye Kelly in that thing.

Discovery will buy him a new one. Probably chump change vs on what they pay the captains on deadliest catch anyway

According to an unnamed source, but unconfirmed, Shearer incurred injuries to his shoulders, lungs, and crushed his L2 and L3 vertebrae in the accident and remains under medical care

A closed off rented airstrip with a bunch of trailer queens pretending to be street cars on the street doesn't count?

You are partially right, but they are not trailer queens. I have raced in many fastest street car shootouts. They typically have a trip where all the cars must drive locally together to prove they can be driven on the street without over heating etc.Street car is used loosely.

Update from him.

An update from Big Chief. The Crow 405
THANK YOU EVERYONE.... I'm pretty beat up right now. Just woke me up for some breathing treatments. Pulmonary contusions (bruised lungs). Crushed my L2 and L3 in my back, broken collarbone, and pretty beat up, but so thankful to be alive right now. They got me on non stop oxygen and another round of cat scans, and X-rays coming up. The surgeon doesn't believe i will need back operation anymore, but they are going to keep me in the hospital again tonight to keep an eye on the lungs, YES I WILL BE BACK! The GOFUND ME CAMPAIGNS were not created by my people or family... I have no idea about them, please KEEP YOUR MONEY. I will update everyone as i get info from the Doctors! The CAGE and safety equipment saved my life!

Sorry to hear that - I like that guy.

Was watchin' a couple reruns the other night (405 vs. imports) and another one ("405 vs. Kansas City" guys?). Them "rotaries" REALLY roll - even the 1.3ltr. ones. Incredible what they can mod up to! And them 2 "pro-mods" that the KC guys had were the SHIZZLE - one was 4,000HP!!!!!!!!!!!

Also watched the Kyle guy take out the top 3 "405'ers" in the SAME night!

Saw the tail end tonite and got a quick view of Daddy Dave's NEW ride - '60's somethin' Nova, I think? HAULS! And he bumped 2 guys!

Regards,

The street racing is fake. No way can they race on the street for that long and not suffer legal problems. Airstrip, shutdown highway, but it for sure isn't open roadway.

OBX speedway ( yes there is one) is a grudge race track. NO time is ever given.
Heads up running, run what you brung , bring cash, other racers don't take american express, master care or even visa.
I've seen 5000 dollar races out there. Big pro mod guys, duke it out ver their rivals. Money is counted ou right at the line before the cars move into the water box. Thats half the excitement that gets the crowd going. Not a lot of laws followed at OBX drag strip. LOL
I don't run over there, love the bracket racing, and safety of a closed in track but to move the racing to a drag strip would change the way they would have to title the show.
No it honestly is not the most safe way to race but i've seen cars skid out into a field where a guard rail would of tore the car up a whole lot worse or even flipped it where the slid saved the car and a good jolt on the driver.

Nothing is going to stop you from getting hurt, when you wreck. Guard rails over 100 mph don't have a lot of impack other than trying to keep you contained inside the track. The rails also spin a car around quick when contact is made so they have caused a lot of issues but its the best idea going although not full proof.

I dont know...it seems like they all like barrel rolls..
I do kinda like the show but a little far fetched, just keep it on the track it would be safe for all involved.
