Default For Veterans day.. Has anyone been through "The Quigley" Quantico Marine Corps Base

For the sake of Veterans day ,might be a long shot. But "The Quigley" is a course you must go through as part of your training.

Would be great to hear some of your stories.

"The Quigley is a legendary water obstacle used in training at OCS.[4] Lieutenant Colonel William J. Quigley, a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, designed it in 1967. It consists of a long canal with 4-foot (1.2 m) cement culverts submerged in swampy, snake infested water; candidates must swim through the Quigley as a part of the OCS training program."

So, who has been through it? Bill is my Grandfather. Tough as nails. Even tougher obstacle.

Been through it back when I went through OCS in the late 90's. It wasn't hard, just crawl through mud and obstacles. I'd rather go through that crappy water than some of the canals I had to cross on patrol in Afghanistan though.

I've had several friends try to get me to do a tough mudder and I always turn them down. I've had my fair share of muddy obstacles to last a lifetime or two.
