What happened to the thread about the fiancé that got whacked on the squash by the dude in the Camaro?

My guess is the OP asked the mods to remove it cause he might be on the hook for a law suit.

That was my thread. I don't know.

I didn't say anything that's not in the police report which is public information. If someone is going to sue me they don't need to go to THT for details. Just read the police report.

Maybe they weren't comfortable with it on here. That's fine. Leave it off.

Maybe the mods thought it best to take it down, might want to leave well enough alone.

The Pats took out the Mods walkie talkies.
They were helpless.
Unpaid by a gigantic corporation, they forge on.
The Pats.

Just as a self disclosure.

Maybe 10 minutes before it disappeared I did send a pm to one of the mods, (which I've never done before), so I'm not sure which one it even was. I just picked one.

I basically asked if I decided at some point or was advised to take it down, how do you that.
I've never done that either.

As I said before. Everything is public info already.
My intention was to share a situation with all of you, so maybe you could share it with your spouses about how to avoid a situation like that and how easy it can happen to a professional person.

Nevertheless if they wanted to take it down that's fine.

Public info in the police report is one thing. That hours later you came to 'brag' about it could be used against you.

Mind you, I don't think you were bragging about it, but I could see an attorney for the douche presenting it that way.

How's your fiancé feeling?

I've asked the mods to remove a thread in the past and it was done promptly.

I would think one of the mods will PM The Revenge and explain what happened.

This is a great place to vent when needed, but sometimes it's best to have a thread deleted.

I presume this boils down to the mods looking out for the best interest of one of their own? Very cool if that is the case!

I appreciate the advice everyone and I'm fine with it deleted.
It definitely had nothing to do with bragging. I hope some of you use it as tool to help avoid a situation like that.
Walking up to a loved one in that shape is horrible.

Ronn thanks for asking about her.

She's in a lot of pain. Now her left deltoid is swollen for some reason. Also her neck. She just complained of a constant ringing in her ears.
Yesterday while napping she screamed at top of her lungs. She dreamt this guy was in our house. Scared the hell out of me and the dog.
Same thing at about 3am. She stayed up the rest of the night after.

Your guys are right, this recovery is not going to just be about getting some staples removed and moving on.

Reassure her that it's okay to see a therapist. Tell her that BOTH of you need to talk with a therapist about the incident. If her big, strong hubby is so eager to go, I am pretty sure she will agree.

Sooner (this week!) is better than later.

Does she feel a bit insecure about the visible bruises? Hold her hand in public and kiss her on the mouth with lots of people around. That WILL cure her! If she sees that you still desire her when she's at her worst, well, that does tons for a woman's self esteem.

Sorry, but I don't really have any quick fixes for such an horrific attack.

Good luck, Brother! Our hearts and prayers are with you.

That had to be one of the worst things for you both to go through. Let her know that's there is a whole forum full of people pulling for her recovery. I don't know how much it would mean to her but I'm sure most anyone on here, as well as myself, would do just about anything to help or show support. Good luck.

Leroy Albert Riling Jr.

Man charged with battery with deadly weapon

Ocala StarBanner

Published: Friday, September 11, 2015 at 6:08 p.m.

OCALA - The Ocala Police Department on Friday afternoon arrested a man in connection with hitting a woman in the head in a parking lot.

Leroy Albert Riling Jr., 77, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.

Police were alerted to an assault in the parking lot of Wells Fargo Bank at 1399 NE 25th Ave. The woman's husband told officers she called him to say there was a problem in the parking lot, so he went there. He found her staggering and bleeding from the head, according to police.

The woman and four witnesses all said they had seen a man driving a green Camaro hit her in the head with an expandable baton, the OPD report states.

At a local hospital, the victim told police that as she pulled into the parking lot of the Oakbrook Plaza, the Camaro went speeding by and nearly hit her car. She said she stopped to let the vehicle pass, but the driver pulled in behind her. She said he got out and hit her window with a black object. She said she got out of her car and the man grabbed her by the throat and pushed her up against her car. She said people came running out of the bank toward her, which is when the man hit her with the object on the back of her head, the report states.

An officer found the Camaro and talked with Riling.

The victim was subsequently shown a photo line-up and identified Riling as the assailant. He was then arrested and taken to the jail.
