Default Office Depot BS Back Pedal !

Office Depot restricted Pro-Life Prayer posters

Just like a "racial slur" you can't take it back ...

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. --
(AP) The CEO of Office Depot has apologized to a suburban Chicago woman who accused the company of discriminating against her religious beliefs when employees told her that making copies of an anti-abortion prayer violated company policy.
Maria Goldstein of Rolling Meadows is Roman Catholic. Last month, she asked the Office Depot in Schaumburg to make 500 copies of "A Prayer for Planned Parenthood."
The Chicago Tribune (http://trib.in/1Kb5StR ) reports that CEO Roland Smith issued a statement Friday inviting Goldstein "to return to Office Depot if she wishes to print the flier."
A spokeswoman for the Boca Raton, Florida-based company said employees initially declined the order because the flier "contained certain words and phrases that could be construed as making women think about murdering their baby or advocates the persecution of groups of people," which violates company policy.

I could see that being an issue. We certainly do not want them thinking about it.

The "prayer" said things like "close the doors of the death camps in our midst" and "we stand against the evil that has been exposed in Planned Parenthood."

I wonder what people would have to say if instead of "planned parenthood" the flier was targeting some other group. Certainly sounds like "hate speech" to me.
