Best Gift would be quality time and memories that you made and shared together...

How about the latest, fastest Apple computer with all the bells and whistles and several good books to read when he's not using it.

Fishing rod and a fishing trip with Dad. I remember going to the banks of the local river at that age, with my Dad. He knew we wouldn't catch much, but I still remember it, more than 40 years later.

I'd like to recommend a book besides the fishing trips and all that other awesome stuff.
This is my favorite gift to buy for my families boys or friends boys when they have a birthday.

It's something he can have fun looking at over the years. Also something you can read to him on rainy days or at bed time.

It's, "The Dangerous Book for Boys".
It's filled with stories on how to make a fort, bait a hook, shoot a BB gun, make a grill out of a coffee can to cook a hotdog. Everything most boys miss out on today that we didn't.

It's a fact that giving kids of any age books for special occasions is the number one factor in kids killing their parents.

I say buy him a Mustang GT500. Then you can take him for father and son rides in his car when your not using it.

Does he like sports? Plan a weekend trip/adventure to go to a sporting event such as an NFL game ect (be prepared to leave early though). Also plan some side activities he would like as well..for example going to a big candy shop or a toy store and letting him pick out a gift.

Used to do this with my dad and I would love it!
