Taurus gun question.

I was wondering how this gun is, I have a used TV for sale and the person wants to trade for this.

I am asking 425 for the TV, but will take 375...

Good deal or not? Good gun or not??

Mediocre deal. I had a 24/7 and it was ok. Had a couple of Tauruses and most were good. Occasionally like the 24/7 the sights were off and had to be sent back or reworked.

Pretty darn durable for the $ though. Especially the older PT style.

Used 24/7 i would say $300 ish if in good shape. Liked the feel just didn't like the accuracy. I would Tell him to sell the gun and buy the TV with cash. Then buy a glock. The u and dot sight are way better than the triple dot in my opinion.

TVs only cost about a dollar fifty today. What kind of used one is worth $475? Might be a good deal... hard to say. I know on the American Rifleman people trash Taurus for some kind of problems... Oh, here it is. They were recalled after being sued for defective guns. Not sure if it is on the list. PT-24/7?

Never heard of that. Mine just shot low right. Glock was spot on as were others so I attributed to sights. Can't see how they would be dangerous unless you got in front of them and that goes for any brand...

Thanks,

I have around 100 in the TV... I have a Glock 23 already...

Just like guns... Would you ask for cash on top of the TV?

425, not 475...

Real price is 375...

Depends on the TV. Have the gun serial run by local PD to make sure it's not hot. If you have $100 in the TV and can get a $275-300 gun (shoot it first to make sure it's good) seems like a decent upside deal. Maybe ask for a couple $ or if they have a decent holster, the original box, extra clips or ammo take that into consideration too.
