Most, if not all the suppliers have massive black friday sales. I have bought lowers for $20.00 on Black Friday with free shipping. Just need to know where to look.

have built several with parts from Palmetto state. they run well for the price. last two topped out at 450.00 a piece. of course they dont have the nice triggers but they work like they are designed to do. i have everything from those to a high end Warsport which cost a little more than 3 grand. love building them. something me and my son enjoy doing together.

100 rds for $40 at local walmart. Federal 55 fmj, .43 per round with tax

Natchez has 1000 for .33 each - Federal Amer eagle, with shipping it goes to .35 per round
& also box of 20 for .35 ea - PMC bronze rifle (both fmj)

all 3 listed above are .223

I usally buy in 2K increments. The $40 is not bad - but you will go through 100 rounds like water.

The 1k at .35 is pretty good.

Are there any online deals right now?

Locally Walmart, Gander Mt, and Dick's have consistantly had 5.56 in stock. What do you pay? About to start stockpiling.
Is you gun a 5.56, .223, dual caliber, or possibly a .223 Wylde?

Checkout Cabelas. I just went to the local store and came away with fiocchi 223, 55gr for 18.99 per 50. I also picked up Hornady Match 5.56 75gr for 21.99 per 50. They had a ton of 223 ammo on the shelves.

Who knows about TulAmmo? I picked up 5 boxes of 20 for $5.47 ea. (.223 55 fmj)

I didn't know I was supporting the Ruskies til I got home and noticed the small print.

I got a couple boxes of Winchester also, 5.56 fmj 55 gr, but it was twice the price. I'll try both and see how it goes.

You are going to find out the 1 in 8 twist barrel likes the heavier bullets. My 1 in 7 barrel does very well with bullets over 65gr. Under 60gr and I might as well throw the bullets. My bolt action 223 with the 1 in 12 twist barrel loves bullets in the 50's and hates the heavy stuff (it can't stabilize the heavy stuff, they keyhole at 100 yards). Pick up a box of 75gr and see how they fly.

We carry Federal BTHP (boat tail hollow point) 55 gr stuff and it works well on violent suspects and it seems not to overpenetrate. They also have some that fragmentss in urban environment...
