Default The homework thread...

Oddly enough, I came across this today as a friend who lives in Bali posted it to his FB page. Excellent timing...

Give it a listen. Guy explains it much better than I.

The clip won't open for me, have you spoken with the teachers in question yet?

I am always right. And if you disagree, you are either too dumb to understand my superior intelligence or I'll just label you an a$$.

I was a pipefitter. Went through apprentice school and ended up doing ac. All commercial AC is on the roof or up in the ceiling. I'm scared of heights, dropped out of airborne school when I realized you DON"T get over it. So i worked for the money, like so many others. One day three of us tried to carry a 360 lb compressor across a rooftop. I ruptured two discs. Spent a long time on worker's comp (which is more awful than you could possibly imagine). Nothing "fixed" my back. I ended up suicidal. When I was in the hospital, I figured it all out. I got out, settled for some measly 20k and started again. I thought exactly what he said. You see, I lost everything. EVERYTHING. Turns out it meant nothing. I figured out that if I died I would leave the same whole in the world as pulling you finger out of a bowl of water. I wanted to make a difference. So, after Army Infantry, semi-truck driving, pipefitting, and AC work, I went to college. People said, "do you realize you will be over 40 when you graduate?" (Yeah, I kinda learned that in 3rd grade math.) I lived on security guard and bus driver jobs for 5 years. Having no money is a kind of like an adventure where you have to scrimp every cent to get by.Finally, I became an elementary school teacher. Taught 4th grade for 14 years and switched to Science. I teach all grades, K-5. Pretty funny, I'm 6'4" and when I first walked the halls I heard a K student say, "He's a giant!" I love every minute of being in the classroom. The money isn't much worse than pipefitting. LOL! I would do it for free. Most teachers would... The problem is, the school board and state governments know that!

Your response doesn't even make sense. Don't you have some 4 year old posts to go looking thru in a pathetic attempt to get me banned Mr Butthurt?

Do you find it odd that you continually seek me out, and I pay you literally no attention until you do? Is that why you do it, to garner some of my attention? If so, that's pretty sad dude. Let it go already. You lost. It happens to the best of us.

If not, then what's your reasoning? Think about that for a bit there slick.

There was nothing to bite. I started this thread as to not further derail the other homework thread, as this guy put what I was trying to say much more eloquently than I.

As for an answer to the question, I honestly don't know. What I do know is this, if money were truly no object, I sure as hell wouldn't be a worker bee and wouldn't indoctrinate my children to become the same.

Thanks for underscoring my point. You took the bait perfectly!!

When you can't win an debate, resort to personal attacks. It's no wonder that you had to change your screen name after members were threatening you with bodily harm. Some people never change.

What "bait" did I take? I merely asked you a question. I didn't personally attack you whatsoever, unless you consider pointing out your previous actions as a "personal attack" after you came onto a thread I started to do just that to me by offering up your own personification of me (oddly enough, by not even addressing the question asked by 96whaler whatsoever).

So, since you clearly resorted to a personal attack, and, as you clearly stated, one does this when they cannot win a debate, what "debate" were we even having that you couldn't win here? Honestly I don't know as the last interaction I recall having with you was commending you on the excellent restore job you did on your boat for sale. Did I miss something?

As for some member threatening me bodily harm...what are you talking about? I changed my name because another member posted my full name and address, which was too easily extractable from my previous screen name.

Seems Ronn Burgandy and Chrisrack need to put each other on their ignore list.

I don't use the feature, but I effectively have, but he continually seeks me out for no real reason. I'll address him when he stalks me, but for the most part, I give him the attention he warrants, which is none. I mean, this is a guy who went through posts from 4 years ago , and clicked the mommy button hoping to get me banned for them.

Ever have a guy make fun of you for looking "young?" That one always gives me a good chuckle...

I had a guy tell me that I was an example of "everything wrong with my generation" because I was working in my yard on a Sunday with a chainsaw. We were about the same age, so yeah, I guess so!
