Default Commercial 25ton ac unit replacement

I need to get a 25ton unit replaced. How does a carrier compare to a ICP/Heil? I can get quite a better deal on the ICP. Anyone have any experience with these?

Make sure all the options are the same so you're comparing apples to apples. There are a lot of variables with units this size and the devil himself is in the details.

What is on the roof now?

A pieced together Frankenstein unit. Honestly I'm not sure off the top of my head. It's been worked on a lot over the years but it's time to change. There is another 20ton carrier that's fairly new. The one quoted is a Ras300H. That's going of memory. I don't have the paperwork in front of me.

Tell me more about the application, I'll give you my "local" opinion.
We see them all.
PM is probably best, not looking for your business but you asked for an opinion and I'm qualified to give it.
ICP is a subsidiary of Carrier, not all things are equal when you have an applied application.

Just get a Lennox with Prodigy. They run pretty much trouble free for 15-20+ years. We use them on our stores and they are so cheap we consider them disposable.

icp - carrier is not built nearly as nice as the lennox. I have installed both and the larger lennox rooftops are built much better.

I'll look into the Lennox and compare prices.

Good choice. We started using them years ago before the Prodigy controller and stuck a CPC board in to control with our E2 EMS. They are now on the 3rd generation Prodigy and the originals are still running like new. They are pretty bullet proof.
