Default Ever have this happen to ya?

I'm loading the Labs on the boat when I start to struggle with one of them, along comes a wave, pushes the boat back towards me, lifts the ass end and pile drives the ladder on top on foot into the sand. Man did I ever let out a yelp. Didn't break it but it hurts to touch and it's bruised pretty good.

You would have thought it was the dog from the sounds of it. Man it hurt(s) like hell!

Hope that means you had it X-rayed. My BIL had a log fall on top of his foot and broke a metatarsal bone- some recovery time required.

No . . . but yes to having foot squished by the bottom of the boat bouncing around in the wake of another boat . . . did not yelp but there was some colourful language employed at a very high volume

Thinking about going to the dr. It is turning black and blue two days later and my toes are swelling and burning more when I walk... If anything, it could be a facture.

Locally we had a much worse event take place a few years back when a guy was trying to push his boat into the surf when a swell picked it up and pinned him under the bottom of the boat. Makes you really watch what your doing after you hear stuff like that.

I haven't had this happen but we switched to a dog ladder for boat entry a while back. We use a Load-A-Pup ramp but there are others and I am pretty sure a homemade one wouldn't be that difficult. Sure beats trying to shove our Goldens ass up onto the boat.
