I've found the 8 o'clock blends are good.
Not a big fan of starbucks
mcdonalds kcups are fine.

I'm no connoisseur.

You will find your best buys at the warehouse clubs; Sam's Costco etc..

I like a stronger blend and find different brands to try out each time we go. The latest was the McDonalds coffee and I thought it was pretty good. Newmans Own has a brand I like as well. Most French roast coffees are pretty stout.

You can find the small 12 cup packs most anywhere, so give them a shot and see what you like buying them first.

As far as the units go, get one that lets you vary how much water it uses each brewing cycle. My Cuisanart goes from 4 oz to 12 oz.

My wife always brews hers using 12 oz and I usually brew mine using 6. You can also run them a second time to top off a cup.

Agree 100%

Recently found deal on 8 O'Clock regular 96 for $24 shipped (25 cents/cup) and it's really good. Will be watching for that deal again for sure...

I do like McDs McCafe cups but they are more expensive. Can be found at Sam's Club.

Bustelo, McCafe and Dunkin' , are the popular choices in my house. However, I only buy those name brands when on sale. If there aren't any sales, the Walmart version of Donut shop in the large box is cheap and acceptable for everyday drinking.

Check Big Lots (Seriously) they sometimes have something like an 80ct. box for 25 bucks. The coffee is Victor Allen and I think it's as good or better than anything else I have tried.

25 cents per cup? A waste of money. I just checked out how many cups I got out of my 5 cup French press, with (1) 14 once can of Trader Joes $ 4.99 coffee made 16 pots or 80 8 oz. cups at $ .06 cents a cup, and a French press make the best tasting coffee you can buy

Ditto in the french press! Never knew what I was missing. Makes drip looks like swill.

Im also a fan of The Newmans Own "Newmans Special Blend" from Costco / Sams Club. 96ct for roughly $30'ish?
Dark Magic by Green Mtn is also a great dark roast option.
You need a strong blend with these brewers or tastes like your drinking hot water....bla!
With Newmans it's strong enough where you can brew a big 14oz 10 & 4... on the strong setting & you have a great cup of coffee!
Im a huge coffee drinker & when the chick came home with our first k-rig I was not a fan but I've come around... its quick & convenient.
They did have issues with longevity but maybe that has changed with the latest release even though it has its own lame features that I'm not a fan of...
The older model was able to brew 14oz with just one push of a button, now its 10 & 4, or 8 & 6....lame

The new macihines must see the little Kuerig logo on the new style cups or they won't work.

Well damn.
Thats the unit I bought went and looked,, yep. Their spying on their coffee.

Now we see why the prices on these things are so high.

Kinda like something none of you will ever experience in the cars you buy. Transportation mode.
Limited to 20 mph. Thats all we can get out the cars now. Once they are at the dealerships they add a fuse to the fuse box and your car goes like its suppose to. That little addition from what I have head, drove your cost up another 400 dollars.

I get Starbucks French Roast whole bean at costco, grind the beans and make 8 or 6 cups at a time, it's a good strong cup of coffee, I drink it black, no sweeteners. I can't be bothered brewing each god damned cup, but that's just me.
