Default THT issues with jumping off site spam...WTH!

Okay, this is REALLY annoying. I realize I am no longer a member, but that is because I have a Paypal issue. Anyhow when me membership expired I realized a lot of ads that I never saw before. No big deal, I kind of liked some of them! But when using my iPhone the BIG problem is that for no reason the site will either launch me into the App Store or to another site on the browser. Really friggin annoying. Anyone (non-member) having this issue?

It's a rogue ad. Most likely the site owners nor the ad network know it got in there. Had this happen more than once on sites I manage. Annoying as crap and hard to track down.

It's so bad I can't even use my phone to cruise THT.
Something has to be fixed somewhere because the site is becoming so over run with ads it is nearly useless.

Had to just leave this site yesterday. Tried 3 times to reply to this post and kept pulling me out to e app store! On ipad now, and it seems okay. Really aggravating when you are trying to read posts or reply and you keep getting yanked off!

Been happening to me since day 1 on this site but only when using Safari on my Macbook. I don't access THT from any other device so can't comment on that. I've heard its a Safari/Apple thing but it doesn't happen on ANY other site or forum..... EVER, only THT. I just accepted that this site does that and if I want to peruse its just part of the game. Funny thing is it doesn't do it when using Chrome on my Macbook.

Won't happen in chrome because it is not programmed for the redirect to App Store. Safari is (both iPhone and Mac) just like chrome mobile browsers have the same function for their version of the App Store.

It is a malicious JavaScript code in an advertisement code more than likely. You may want to try and take a screenshot of the page before it redirects and post it to the support forum so someone can try to track it down.

I've never had it happen here. Even when I used it free. But there are other sites tha do it so bad you can't even read anything. I really hate it and hope you find a solution

Never had it happen on my iPhone on THT. But it's getting worse day by day on 2coolfishing. Only on my iPhone though. No on iPad or PC.

They definitely know. I started a thread about same thing a couple months ago and emailed admins. There were also other threads about the same thing. Yes extremely annoying, when it starts back up I don't visit for a few days.
