Beam is only about 80 proof which usually won't burn. I guess the alcohol somehow separated and floated to the top and burned when the lightening struck it? ;?

mwgoldman 09-04-2015 06:31 PM

This happened back in 2003. Don't know why it made the news today.

fijon 09-04-2015 08:40 PM

I've seen that in a few bars when somebody had to much beam

Jay A 09-04-2015 08:43 PM

Roosty 09-05-2015 03:59 PM

"Despite being the victims of a lightning strike, Jim Beam are facing damages of $70,000 for polluting the nearby creek which led to major fish kills."

Seriously??? They will because they can.
