Default Intro here!

Hi all. I have been looking on several boat forums and this is the first one I've joined. I'm a younger 20 something guy in KY and am a major gearhead. I often join racing events in Mexico and sometimes on road courses. I have never owned a boat but am no stranger to the lake. I fish, ski, wakeboard, anything! I always look forward to advice and opinions, so that's why I joined.

Long story short, I am planning to pick up a boat once this season is over so that I can have a toy to take to the lake. I would like some opinions on where I should look for information, advice, anything (in addition to what I find on here). I'm partial to Caravelle Interceptors, mainly the mid-late 90s ones and have spent most of my time on a 96 232 with a 454. I would love a newer mastercraft wakeboard boat but that wont be in the cards for a few more years

With that said, the boat I am looking for as a starter boat is in the 21-24 ft range, V8, reliable, open bow, good cruiser, and able to seat at least 8 people. I'm also looking for something under $20k. That might leave it wide open or not be enough detail - if thats the case, just let me know and I'll try to provide more. I'm perfectly fine with buying a $10k boat if maintenance has been done but am not opposed to stretching it out a little more to get the right boat for me. With these details, what are some popular choices that I should give consideration to? Reliability and maintenance is a big one for me! (I know, some may say that I am looking at the wrong toy, lol!)

Thanks in advance!

Please post pics of your GF and the Rav4 you're going to tow the boat with. (Someone had to start it...)
