Unhappy US murder rate sees sharp increase in 2015

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-34120247

Sad news but given all the crap going on I am not surprised.

Has this been reported on any US news channels? I may have missed that if so....

BS. It's way too early to say there has been an increase in the "US" murder rate. Some big cities may be seeing an increase, but the reports on the country as a whole are not mentioned in this article, so I have no reason to believe the headline is accurate. As The Economist says:
"Comprehensive statistics on murders across America in 2015 do not yet exist, and it is impossible to prove whether, nationally, the murder rate is up or down. "
http://www.economist.com/news/united...dsummer-murder

If you look in any given year, there's bound to be a few cities seeing an increase in crime, regardless of the national trend.

You won't see the actual 2015 US stats until early 2017

The New York Times just ran a long article on the sharp rise in murder rates in several big cities. Pretty good read. It used Milwaukee as the example. Doesn't pull any punches about what "community" is involved, for all you ingrained in thinking the Times is some evil fish wrapper.

Listed cities showing the greatest increased murder rate are Baltimore, MD; St. Louis, MO and Milwaukee, WI. Given what's been going on in or near those cities, is anyone surprised their murder rate is up?

Accuse the police of over-policing therefore stabbing them in the back.

Police step back trying to pull knife out of back.

Crime goes up.

Doesn't take a nuclear scientist to figure that one out....

The NYT is no more a reliable source than any other media. If you ever had any dealings with them you would know they are horrible and are just making a story. They are not reputable but if you care to believe that go ahead..

I don't really believe any US news source.

Most of my US news comes from the BBC or the Guardian and I frequently get relevant stories which are not even being covered in the US media, let alone covered and spun to the left or to the right.
