Default Data on LEO deaths…telling

It is important to introduce some facts into the discussion.

No matter how much the media tries to profit from tragedy…never lose sight of the truth.

America is apparently the outlier.

Don't bother, man. Crime in general is down in virtually every category and we are safer today than at any time in most of our lifetimes... yet many "feel" like things are devolving into total chaos.

The point is that motor vehicles are dangerous. By the numbers LEO deaths in the line of duty are minuscule -- not really worthy of a headline and certainly not worthy of a headline that reads "Cop Hunting".

What is fascinating, to me at least, is that most of the deaths are traffic related. Never turn your back on traffic and buckle up behind the wheel.

I was looking at this same site the other day, it's well and soberly done and I made a donation. It does summarize the biggest and most incalculable cost of police protecting (or trying to) the citizenry. Police being hunted and indiscriminately executed, regardless of the numbers, should be of concern.

And the deep South is the most dangerous place to be a cop according to the stats. What's with that?
