Default Take these out with you or DIE!!!!

Whenever someone asks the question "is this boat big enough to go out to......" there are always people who manage to jump in even before the guys who always chimes in with "if it is a cat, then yes" and tell you how you are going to die and all the stuff you need to take with you in order to perhaps have a 1% chance of not dying. Now the some of the stuff that that tell you to take is stuff that you should have, but the chicken little stuff like "no that boat is WAY too small just look what happened to the Edmund Fitzgerald" can be a bit much. So I propose that we come up with a definitive list of things that you should
really take when venturing any farther out than from you couch to the kitchen.

1. PFD's
2. EPRIB
3. Proper radio
4. flares
5. Twin engines or a kicker if you can swing it.
6. Your security blanket that you had an an infant for feeding off under-the-bed monsters and the odd bull shark.
7. A jumbo sized pack of Pampers.
8. Mommy, who is the only one who can calm your fears AND change your Pampers.
9. The alert brigade of the 82nd Airborne to fight off the pirates that will try to steal your boat.
10. The full local USCG air wing so that they can be overwatching you position at all times.
11. drinking water
12. tool kit and someone who knows how to use it. Perhaps just bring the entire shop crew from the local Marine Max store.
13. Xanax
14. Signal mirror and space blanket.
15. Lots of guns in case the 82nd gets called away to Syria.
16. Potato sticks, vienna sausages, spray cheese and saltines.

17. A big tube of Preparation H for when you get butthurt because you feel that I have somehow insulted you with this or any other joke.

I got twins now.

Are the Pampers for the THT 8 to 10 footers?

I guess you could use the spray cheese to fill the cracks in the hull from running up on the rocks to get you home after you killed the 8 ball before you headed out.

I usually have peanut butter with me, even when I'm headed to the grocery store (you never know when or where you might break down).

Same here. I could live for a month with the amount of crap she brings.

Nope, no alcohol onboard. Even just having ethanol in your gas tank will send your boat straight to the bottom

Good point. Plus even good beer tastes like ass when you add Sta Bil to it.

If you have to be told to bring peanut butter, you really need to say on the dock.
