Default Do you sleep with your spouse?

I have had Interesting conversation and read some fascinating articles recently defending for and rejecting sleeping in the same bed are your spouse. So...

Who does and who doesn't? And why or why not? Please save all comments about marriage or stories about your miserableness for another forum. I just want to know why.

Should have made it a poll if you don't want to read the questions or stories.

When my snoring wakes up my wife, she leaves our bed and goes to one of the kids' beds to snuggle with them.

We BOTH sleep better after she leaves.

Yes, always.

We have friends that have slept in separate bedrooms for yrs. He blames it on her snoring. Their marriage is not stable and she has told my wife that he has told her he doesn't love her anymore and that he's leaving a couple of times over the yrs. Their kid is 20yo now. It will not be a surprise when they split.

yep..... and wrap them up like a Christmas present.

Half the fun of being with someone is to cuddle/hold while falling asleep.

I could not image not wanting to hold each other close in a relationship.

By stories I meant people's life stories as to why they don't like Marriage to begin with or whatever. Good reasons why they do or don't is what I am after.

The interesting that I found is that sleeping in the same bed with your spouse is a late 19th century thing. Couples did it to save money by not having separate beds and rooms etc. at least that's what Wikipedia says... Jk

I used to work on call driving wreckers. I could wake up do a tow and be back to sleep in minutes. My wife is a light sleeper and has trouble getting back to sleep. I started going to the xtra bed room when returning from calls and we both slept better. I havn't done on call for almost 15 years but . still sleep in the next room. I usually come in and join her in the morning for a while. Been married for 27 years and this hasn't hurt our sex life or desire for each other.

Plenty couples sleep seperately and live happy healthy lives. Pretty sure I read or heard that sleep helps longevity.
