Default Fleet cards...

Does anyone here have firsthand experience with these fleet cards, such as Speedway? I've been inundated with offers recently without ever having used a program. We only have 8 total vehicles. Opinions???

Mark
we have them I have 4 trucks on the road its a great way to track fuel costs plus our guys were complaining that they never had any money to for fuel etc. I think we use wright fuel express or something like that it works at 90% of gas stations. I get a detailed statement and the milage has to be documented into the fueling station and a code entered the card stays with the truck. So far its pretty good I am happy with plus yours truly does not have to keep up with the receipt although I make my guys keep receipts. I would recommend it.

I had one (since retired), and no complaints. As noted easy acceptance and great for tracking fuel costs. For 8 vehicles, I do not see the down side.

I use Wright Express too. Have about 15 cards for my construction company employees. Great way to track fuel usage and as stated above, work in probably 95% of the stations. I've yet been denied, but doubt they'll work at a local mom and pop independent place.

well I was going to add a reply, but after reading everyones responses I guess, Im confused. I thought you were talking about non-public "fleet" gas stations. If you have interest in those, they are great and I can add some insite. If not take everyone elses advise lol

Wright Express is now Wex and they are based in South Portland, Maine. Gas cards is only one line of business that they are involved in. My company is doing some consulting work for them and all I can say is that they are very good to work with and have a lot of innovative plans for the future.
