Default Emplyment History?

How can one find out there own work history? My wife is applying for a job that requires a 20 year history and she has apparently last part of her memory, so is there any way to find this out? Thanks in advance

I'm 33. If asked for a 20 year history, I wouldn't be able to provide a complete one. I can't remember every job I had since I was 13.

Go to the social security office, and get a life historical past of the contributions,
they will be able to print out...Where she worked for the last 20 years...

Request old copies of her w-2's. I have no idea how far back they save them and it probably won't be a quick turnaround time. I believe you may have to pay as well but I'll let you look into that!

Well, I am older than that, and can tell you every job I have ever had in my life.

If her memory is as good as your spelling she will be fine.

I second the bit of advice that pointed you to the SSA. DOL may have something too if she had a retirement acct.

I doubt the IRS will have anything past 5 yrs., possibly 10.

Good luck

30 years with the same place. I'd never list the odd jobs I took during when I was 'furloughed' but people look at me funny when I walk past a jewelry kiosk and say...

"That looks like 50 layers of pure 24kt gold bonded to a diamond cut brass chain which will give it strength and durability."

If I needed that info I'd go to S/S. If you aren't asking for money they are easy to deal with.

Nope, just strikes me a bit odd that one would not know their work history. Oh well, I have always been a bit of an odd cat in that regard.

I had 2 employers in 36 years. However, I will say that twenty years could be considered excessive - but they might want to steer away from job hoppers that switch every few years. In other words, they're looking for dedicated employees that are willing to go for the long term.
