Default Why do you not fly the American flag on your boat?

I do understand at high speed, towing tubes, skiers, out diving or out fishing the flag can be in the way, I get it. But on any other casual outings why do you not fly our flag? I was completely baffled during a huge fourth of July river event when I saw only a handfull of flags flying in the middle of 300 or more boats.

Are we really that lazy? Or is it something else? Maybe I am just old school, my dad fought in WW2 and I am very proud of his service and what that service meant to this country.

Whats your excuse? or maybe agenda???

Cause I don't want too.

No flags, signs, banners, or anything on my boat. It is out front of my house, that's more than enough for this guy.

Guess things on the river are different then Ocean Waters as these days we always fly an American Flag as most larger vessels do, and when in the Bahamas also their Bahamian Courtesy flag. On that subject, the flag drawer has one way in the back that remains in new condition.

Same with me. I'm an all American guy, served in the Marine Corps, love my country but I really don't want to run one on the boat, not that I wouldn't if someone bought me one though. bluevein, you thinking about sending us Xmas presents?

Mostly because when we use the contender its for fishing so we need the outriggers. And the flats boat doesn't have a convenient place for one. We used to have it up high on our cabo, 24/7

Do you fly your state flag on your boat?

Do you fly the United Nations flag on your boat (last time I heard the US was a member of the UN).

Where does it end?

Oh, I don't have a US flag. Would not fly one on the boat if I had it. Don't have any flags on my boat for that matter.

I leave flags, songs and symbols to the symbol minded.

For me motorized transportation and flags don't go well together, unless your in a parade or ceremony.

my boat and anything that needs to be kept clean, dry, free of hooks, and without fish blood on it does not go well together. Im pretty sure there is a law against what the flag would go through on my boat.
