Just watched a news clip of cell phone video. The boys in blue were taking some seriously heavy fire from the peep but they kept advancing and bagged him.

Because we prohibited all military from possessing firearms on base unless you're an MP on duty?

The picture on the WSJ web site showed the bullet holes in the glass - right above teh FBI agent you could still see the "gun free zone" sign.

I think the recruiter was in a strip mall and the second shooting was at an installation.

Yes... many strip malls and malls are gun free zones

The point though is that we have police having to respond to military style attacks. And so have to be equipped and trained to counter those. No matter where they might occur. Whether we like it or not.

How long will it take for the idiot lawmakers to realize that.......

gun free zone = target rich environment.

Lord help us survive the dumbing down of America.......

When they prove to me they can legislate sanity and common sense I'll believe they can legislate gun control.

Spot on

15 years ago, I have been in that position, my partner was able to get to a shotgun that day and saved us but we were HIGHLY outgunned...
