Not a fan of his music but he's a good dude, which is way more important.

Is that the same Garth Brooks that ditched the wife that stood by him when he was a nobody?

Guess it's easy to push somebody out of the way when you don't need them to stand behind you anymore. Loyalty... what's that?

Class Act. I saw his past weekend and he is still one of the best entertainers around. His marriage with his high school sweetheart didn't work out, big deal. It happens every day.

Yeah... I see that... it happens "everyday"... let's see...

You're a half-retarded bouncer at a bar who can sing a little. A chick falls in love with you, believes in you and supports you, you have THREE KIDS WITH HER... then you hit it really big and you divorce her and hook up with Trisha Yearwood.

Yeah... that's just about every day. LOL.

I guess my values must just not be in line with y'all. We have a unique view of the "good people" in this country.

Have you seen Trisha lately? Karma has already paid Garth back on this one.

My issues with Garth go way beyond his marital indiscretions. The least of which are what he is attempting to put out as music these days.

You act like he got famous and dumped her. He was pumping out hits for 10 years prior to them splitting.

I'll go against the grain and say that I really liked his early music. Now not so much.
I couldn't care less what he does in his personal life.
Then again, I also don't think Taylor Swift or 90% of the new Bro Country have an ounce of vocal talent in their bodies.

FWIW of course.

and I'm sure she got half. I'm not sure why anyone would care why someone would get a divorce. Maybe she was even the one that initially wanted it...

After his wife, Sandy, discovered he was cheating on her back in 1989 and threatened to leave him, Brooks famously got so choked up onstage in Sikeston, Mo., that he had to restart a song. They reconciled and in 1996 renewed their wedding vows at a Methodist church in suburban Nashville.

The pair first met in 1983 when Brooks, a student at Oklahoma State University and part-time bouncer, was called to the women's room at the Tumbleweeds Club in Stillwater, Okla., to break up a brawl. There he found 19-year-old freshman Sandy Mahl with her fist lodged in a wood-paneled wall and offered to drive her home

Dang old Pete

Man that is a high horse your riding on. So high its affected the way music sounds to you? I liked Garth's early stuff also, wild horses, may be my favorite song of his. I dont really care who he wants to be married to as long as its not my wife i guess. He's just a person, not a roll model anyway. We all have our good points and bad.
