Very odd indeed.
Heard about this over the weekend.
I'm glad she wasn't injured any more than she was.

Maybe it was a unexplored firework? Although that bomb sniffing dog would have probably found fragments..
Odd

I read about this yesterday on CNN.
They were treating this like a very small deal, which really surprised me.

I'm betting on a piece of very old, deeply buried ordinance. I wounder if that beach has been replenished. would be crazy if a dredge had picked something up and dumped it there.

It would make sense, the sand would easily stop the shrapnel but still be affected by the force of the blast to move up and catapult the woman in to the air.

I'm guessing something natural way down decomposed and trapped a buncha gas... boom... Bet she looked like one of those airbag pranks...

When I first heard this I also thought somebody was fookin with her and she got airbagged but once they mentioned nothing had been found yet then my second guess was what ^^ he ^^ said.
