Default Want a new carry weapon, 45 caliper.

So, based on the criteria below, what say you?

* carry size
* budget...$750
* fairly light weight

What does the brain trust say?

I like my kimber ultra carry 2 tactical. fits my hand nicely and isn't as bulky as a glock sub compact

Springfield XDs and $200 in ammunition. The XDs has a 5 round mag so it will hold 6 rounds. Worth taking a look at.

45 and carry gun just don't go together in our great state of Florida, especially this time of year.
Buy an LC9-S Pro and you'll have enough money left over to buy another LC9-S Pro.

45 in a carry gun is difficult to pull off. Have you considered looking at nasty 9mm ammo in place of using 45? Hell I have some really nasty 380 ammo I carry in my bodyguard.

The Glock 36 is a .45 single stack. Very easy to carry and loaded with plenty of umph!!

I agree, I am 100% pure believer it BIGGER IS BETTER BUT for a true CCW I would have to agree. 9mm, as much as i am not a huge fan of, is hard to beat with nasty ammo for CCW

By way I LOVE a 45 but have not found one that is what I would consider a CCW for me

Regarding 9mm ammo, there was a recent comment in the NRA magazine about how much modern, quality brand 9mm has increased in performance. I don't do well with these small compact .45's with my big hands.

Unless you are 6'9" weigh 300#'s canceled carry of a 45 is crazy.
