Default GoPro bluetooth range with Iphone

Admiral got me a new Gopro 4 hero silver edition for Fathers Day/Anniversary

LOT better than my GP 2 and love the bluetooth capability and fact that I can actually see what I am recording/taking pics of .

My question is how far will the Iphone 6 connect to the GP, was actually looking at one of the drones and some other ideas for remote use and wondered how far range would be

Put in on top of my Vette last night and took it for a spin and nice to glance at the phone and see what is being recorded along with the ability to turn reocrd off/on

Have searched but can not find any info much

Bluetooth is generally good for about 30 feet. It was specifically designed for short ranges.

The Gopro wifi frequency is 2.4Ghz, most remote control transmitters are 2.4 Ghz. These two do not play well together and can cause the drone to get confused and crash! Some of the DJI Phantom series drones work on 5.8 Ghz transmitters and receivers, so your iPhone could be used for certain things. I think that the 5.8 Ghz frequency DJI Phantoms already come with a camera so you have to spend extra money to mount the go pro and will lose some functionality.

Just went through similar looking for long distance Bluetooth headphones. 30' is the rule, and that's 30 uninterrupted feet.

I was really hoping to not have phone glued to me for gym. I sweat like a caveman.
