Thumbs up Another victory for a CCW victim!

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The man fatally shot by a former CNN reporter at an Albuquerque motel had fled parole in Tennessee, police said.

Tomorio Walton had absconded from parole out of Memphis, and it wasn't clear how long he had been in New Mexico, Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Tanner Tixier (tih-SHAY) said late Thursday.

Wonder where his weapon was when the intruder had the jump on him.

It is nice to see an absconding parolee stopped from any further foolishness..... permanently.

Best statement in the article above....

Now, ask me how I feel about the right to bear arms.

Here's the truth:

1. Criminals will always have guns, this is not about them.

2. Americans have a constitutional right to bear arms. Humans have a right to defend themselves. If we didn't have the Second Amendment, we would create it.

3. You can't control everything; but if it makes you feel better, go with a simple law preventing violent offenders from buying firearms. Make it "violent" offenders rather than "white collar" offenders, or most of Capitol Hill won't be allowed to own them.

4. Get a gun, get legal, be responsible, trust yourself. Don't trust yourself? Then don't carry. But for God's sake then, shut the f**k up about it, because that's where your involvement ends.

Chuck and I were married one year ago, on the Fourth of July. Sure, we celebrated our first wedding anniversary in a hospital. But thanks to the Second Amendment, my crack-shot husband and the pistol he used, we were able to have a first anniversary.

I wonder if her views are the reason why she's no longer with CNN?

Smart couple, fast thinking on their feet while under life threatening pressure.

Good to see the good guys win hope the husband recovers fully. The next story in that newsroom video is bizarre.. Tom Seleck accused of stealing 10 truck loads of city water for his home or pool or something in LA.

Favorite line.

"I walked my purse to Chuck, talking about finding something inside. I reached behind Chuck and slipped a gun in, then handed it to him, asking if he could see anything that we might give the man. He said yes, wrapping his hand around the gun."

Pet friendly. Most of the better hotels won't let you bring a dog into the room.

So for all you guys that think you have to carry a 44 magnum with a 10 inch barrel and 6 extra magazines plus a 357 back up gun........a .380 killed the bad guy.

Yeah but a .357 or 44 magnum and he probably wouldn't have stayed upright long enough to put 5 bullets in the good guy.

I own a compact .380 but I know I will need lots of luck to get the shot placement that will stop some enraged lunatic with just one or two rounds even at close range. You get hit with a .357 in the chest and you're going down immediately.
