playing the white album backwards screws up your needle, just saying. Try to find a replacement needle...

this race sheet is getting on my nerves.

It is my belief that you missed the obvious sarcasm in my original post.
Spot on...

I just heard the SC senate just voted to remove the Confederate flag!
I guess they finally recognized that the Civil War is over!

CNN survey (cited above) indicated most people view the Confederate flag as a symbol of Southern pride- not racism.

The "Dukes of Hazzard" has been on TV for 36 years. People just now recognized how offended they were by the Confederate flag on the roof?

The SC Senate bowed to political pressure. Only opinions deemed "politically correct" will be tolerated.

Especially when the comparison is way off the mark. You place a rock-n-roll album on the same plane as the Confederate flag!

Having a civil conversation on the meaning of the Confederate flag to African Americans and for that matter all other Americans in light of the Charleston church murders is a subject that deserves serious attention and not sarcasm.
In the world according to you. But we don't live in that one.

There is absolutely no reason to have any conversation about anything in regard to the Charleston shooting other than what to do with the one lunatic responsible for the Charleston shooting. This is a rational country, not "Queen for a Day". Having a tragedy befall others of your race doesn't entitle you to a pity party.

The underlying racist motives were similar. Manson wanted to bring about an apocalyptic race war by killing innocent people. The Charleston shooter killed innocent people in pursuit of his racist agenda.

The "unintended consequences" of the ban-the-flag efforts will be that the next insane person wanting to cause their idea of social change will be more emboldened to act out violently.
